Meta‐analysis was performed using Comprehensive Meta‐Analysis Software version 3 (Biostat, Englewood, NJ 2013) calculating the standardized mean difference (SMD) and the 95% confidence interval (95% CI) of IL‐6/INF‐γ ratio in COVID‐19 patients with or without the severe disease. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software (version 3.0) 37 was used to calculate and analyze effect sizes and moderator analyses. Effect sizes were calculated directly from information provided in each study (eg, correlations, means and/or SDs, etc; see Supplemental Table 5 for details of data extraction of effect sizes).
