This post provides a step by step approach for the installation of ETAP 16.0.0. And when installing, the program installer, Installs the ETAP and all of its components including libraries such as; sample project, ETAP help files, ETAP License Manager.
It might interest you to know that, almost the same installation process is required in installing ETAP 16.0.0 just as outlined in ETAP 12.6.0.

Installing Etap via Download
To install Etap via download you can follow a simple step outline below on this post
Step 1:
- Log on to www.stemcrack.com and search for Etap 16.0.0
- Click on the DOWNLOAD button to download the zip file
- Once that is done a page comes up where you will fill out the form to receive the link or sign in using your “my account” and get it Download straight into your system. Once you have finished downloading the ZIP FILE, unzip it and locate the .exe file. Run it as an administrator.

You will see welcome to setup wizard for Etap 16.0.0 click next to proceed
Step 4:
Next you will see ETAP LICENSE AGREEMENT page click on “Accept” to proceed.
Step 5:
Now this is where the requirements that we listed for your system to have will have a role to play. If perhaps ETAP did not see the software requirement for it to be installed the application p will automatically brings out a pop-up that will let you have a one click of installation of the required system software. Hence to proceed click on next.
Step 6:
This is where you have to choose the License Type you want to install. Which includes “Stand-Alone Licence” and “Network Licence”.
For Stand-Alone: Both ETAP and ETAP Manager will be automatically installed on the same computer where ETAP security will be utilized. While for Network Licence: ETAP Software will be installed on the computer while it’s Licence Manager will be installed on a designated computer. In this configuration the ETAP 16.0.0 security key must be located at the ETAP License Manager Server.

Step 7:
Choose the language you can read and understand.
We recommend choose ENGLISH
Step 8:
Here you will be asked to install the output format for the previous version. Don’t tick the box. Leave it untick as it is on the screenshot below and click next to proceed
Step 9:
Download Etap 16.2
Here you have to select a destination folder, the default folder is always your C drive (C:ETAP1600). Hence do not change it just click on next to proceed.
Step 10:
Next you will see your screen similar to the one below click next to start copying files
Step 11:
Here you will see welcome to the Microsoft SQL server compact setup which is the installation page of that server. Click next to proceed.
NOTE: if the required SQL server software is not detected in your computer you will be prompt to install it. Follow the SQL server installation wizard instructions to complete m installation
Download Etap 16
Step 12:
Here you will be notified to install .NET 3.5 SP1 framework if it’s not detected in your computer so just follow the installation guide to install the framework hence you will click on ok button. Not that step 11 and 12 needs internet connection
Step 13:
Once step 1 to 13 is completed you have successfully install ETAP 16.0.0 on your computer hence click on finish.
Activating of ETAP 16.0.0
